Rooted in Love.

I was googling "invocation and Come Holy Spirit" and saw one beautiful song on You Tube. I played it over and over and then I was crying.

Then on Saturday, one of the speakers in our LMW class who was a priest, talked about Missiology, and the new thrust,  New Evangelization, of Pope Francis.

The two instances bore deep into my being, and instantly brought to mind how some close family members had drifted away from the Catholic faith.

The mission of the early Christians after Christ's resurrection brought them "to the ends of the earth," and the Acts of the Apostles ended when the apostles and disciples achieved this goal,  particularly that of St. Peter's when he reached Rome.

St. Paul had several missions before he was incarcerated and put to death. St. Thomas went to India and converted many there.

Our mission in life is simple: to love God and our family and our neighbours.  If God gives us an extra mission, then we do it out of love for Him.

Relic of St. Thomas (Doubting Thomas) revered in India, where the Apostle preached and converted many.
